image

I should have posted this yesterday but its been a busy month so hopefully, Martha will bear with me and allow a late post for the January blogger challenge :)..

I received my first award nomination for the year 2014 from  and Jane  I must say I am pretty excited to put Lupita Nyongo to shame on the Red Carpert.. Whats that? there will be no official event?? *sighs* lol… anyway I was asked to answer the following questions below…

1. What do you think of the crop-top trend?

I love it and really wish I had the body to pull it off.. Chances are by the time I get the body to pull it off, it will be out of fashion 😦
2. If you could have any super-power, what would it be?

hmmmmm this is a tough one… permission to pass? thanks!!! All I know is that I would like to do good, to do something that matters.

Vampires.  Werewolves would come with fleas and/ticks

The birth of my Son (yes I am one of those Mom’s who cant shut up about their offspring). He is such a blessing in my life and I am lucky to have him.
8. What does loyalty mean to you?

Wow, this is quite the loaded question ey. ummmm loyalty, for me it means a few more words that are seemingly void of definition as they are more feeling than anything..  that is trust, honesty, love…. those are the three words that come to mind…

9. How many pairs of shoes do you own?

errrr well I cant count on both hands, thats a good thing right? about 20 maybe lol paltry for a female I know.
10. What dish are you super great at making?

Oooooo I love cooking in fact 2014 will be spent perfecting the skill. But right now I am good at all things Chicken really. I make a pretty mean roast chicken..
11. Why do you blog?

I find writing as a healthy form of release of any emotion be it anger, happiness, frustration or sadness. The fact that someone out there gets to read my nonsense is quite the bonus.

Chaperoning Chronicles

So today was my bestfriend’s little brother’s birthday and I was usual I was on hand and happy to help out making sure everything was running smoothly.. It was sooo much fun (YES, the highlight of my day was chaperoning an 11year old’s bday sue me). Anyway Temwani (the birthday boy) decided to have his celebrations at a restaurant called shaka’s grill

Imagethe place has such a vibe to it.. and the staff EXCELLENT!!

In all honesty restaurant parties are better than home parties cause of the whole no cooking or having to clean up so u just show up with the kids and cake and they take care of everything!!!

Lunch was amazingly awesome I had lamb chops. I don’t know why I eat them though cause I feel sooooo guilty each time I eat them think it’s the whole Jesus is the Lamb thing that is drilled into you over and over again!! but they are soooo yummy I can’t help myself.

ImageI feel like saying an I’m sorry prayer with each bite…lol

ooooo did I mention I am off alcohol for 40 days, yes so faced with pre-teens today and surrounded by booze you can imagine the temptation was high.. But my will was stronger 🙂 I am so proud of me *Drake Voice*.

ImageSo much booozzeee but I persevered 😛

After the lunch we did a movie and we saw a Dr.Suess piece The Lorax, I could be wrong about the spelling though, so do bear with me. It was a good movie and the lesson I got from it was well, tree preservation, yes tree preservation. It basically shows the effects of chopping down trees and all that, it a good watch for the entire family.. It made me think of something though, that Dr. Suess was probably a deeply disturbed child who always craved attention and had probably cried wolf once or twice that no1 believed his stories.. That is the only way one can continually tell stories about someone whose stories are not believed until its almost too late..That is my view anyway.

ImageFro-Yo AWESOMENESS to go with the movie 🙂

After that it was time for cake. Honestly, cake time is the best time 🙂 yes I love cake especially when it is a black forest cake awesomeness!!!

ImagehAPPY bIRTHDAY tEMWANI

Anyway that was my day in a flash J I am tired as hell. Kids at whatever age they are not the easiest bunch to deal with. I bet you when I have my own I will constantly be calling my Parents to apologise for whatever hell I put them through. Lol..

Well that is it for the chaperoning chronicles hopefully will not be called upon to chaperone for a very long time. .. hope you enjoyed your weekend  xoxo.

My Beautiful Country, Zambia

After reading a bucket list where someone has listed visit Africa and go on Safari, I cannot help but try umm *pimp out* my beautiful country and I will try not to copy and paste aside from pictures of breath taking destinations.

Located in the heart of Southern Africa my country is a nation of peaceful and loving people whose Aim is to make our visitors feel welcome and right at home..

If you came to my country and asked me to be your tour guide, the 1st place I would take you is Livingstone where you find this beauty.
